Light and Lens- Week 3/Day 4

Motion and shutter speed: 
 This is Tejas and I "playing with light." He used his flashlight on his phone and moved it around. In the first (very exposed and blurry) photo my shutter speed was at 1/8 of a second and clearly that didn't work too well. In the second photo I used a shutter speed of 4s and the result was much prettier.

Depth of field:

These photos were taken in the greenhouse on campus. In the photo on the left I have a short depth of field (high aperture/low # aperture) causing the background objects, sunflowers in this case, to appear blurry. On the right I increased my depth of field by using a higher # aperture so that everything, both in the foreground and background, is in focus.
